Contribute via PayPal

Donations to the Common Peril meeting cover expenses of running the group online. Money received beyond those expenses goes to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Group of AA.

To avoid charging PayPal fees to the group, please specify the "Sending to a friend" option during your PayPal transaction.

First time donating to Common Peril:

  1. Point your web browser to

  2. Log in (create an account if you don't have one).

  3. Click "Send" button.

  4. At next screen, in the "Name, email, or mobile number" blank, type: @commonperil

  5. Next screen, type in amount of donation.

  6. If "Paying for an item or service" option is displayed, click Change. At next screen, choose "Sending to a friend."

  7. Click Continue, then choose your payment option. Note that if you configure PayPal to pull the payment from a bank account, the transaction will be free; if you choose to pay by credit card, you will be charged a fee.

  8. Click Next, and then Send Payment Now to finish the transaction.

Subsequent donations (easy!):

  1. Point your web browser to:

  2. Enter a dollar amount.

  3. Login when prompted.

  4. PayPal should remember your "sending to a friend" setting and your preferred payment option. Just click Send Payment Now.
